Context
BDR Thermea operates across multiple brands, markets, and product categories, each with their own digital needs, audiences, and customer journeys.
The challenge was to create a more connected and scalable experience across the ecosystem while allowing individual brands to maintain their own identity and flexibility.
Digital foundation
The work focused on creating stronger digital foundations that could support the company’s long-term shift toward a more agile and scalable ecosystem.
Working across strategy, product design, and systems thinking, we helped shape a composable and centralized approach that made it easier for teams to launch, manage, and evolve digital experiences across brands and markets. The goal was not to make every experience identical, but to create a shared structure that improved consistency, speed, and usability across the ecosystem.
Design system
The design system was built as a shared foundation that could scale across multiple brands, markets, and digital products.
Using a token-based setup, the system allowed teams to switch between brands while automatically adapting colors, typography, spacing, and brand assets through a single shared structure. This made it possible to maintain consistency across the ecosystem while still supporting the unique identity of each brand.
A close connection between design and development helped keep the system aligned across both environments, improving collaboration and making changes easier to manage, review, and evolve over time.
Outcome
The result was a more connected and scalable digital ecosystem that helped improve consistency, usability, and speed across brands and markets.
The shared foundations also created a stronger starting point for future digital products, services, and e-commerce capabilities across the organization.
